Monstera epipremnoides ‘Esqueleto’
Some plants whisper.
This thing arrives looking like it escaped from a forgotten rainforest temple after surviving several emotional breakdowns and a knife fight with humidity.
The Monstera ‘Esqueleto’ is one of those plants that makes people stop mid-sentence and lean forward like Victorian scientists discovering electricity. Massive skeletal fenestrations. Ridiculous elongated leaves. Jungle energy dialled up to dangerous levels.
As it matures, the foliage becomes more and more absurd, with giant perforations that look less like a houseplant and more like Mother Nature got carried away with a hole punch whilst caffeinated.
Despite looking outrageously exotic, it’s actually surprisingly straightforward if you understand what it wants:
Bright indirect light.
Chunky airy soil.
Something to climb.
Patience.
Give it support and decent humidity and it starts producing leaves that look like green stained glass windows held together by pure confidence.
This isn’t a tidy little windowsill plant.
This is:
“I accidentally turned my house into a tropical research facility” energy.Perfect for collectors, jungle builders, and anyone whose plant collection has progressed beyond “normal behaviour.”
One love, tiny phone people.
Monstera epipremnoides 'Esqueleto' - 17cm/70-90cm
10% OFF EVERYTHING - BECAUSE I'M AWESOME!
The following aroid mix I would like to share with you is working well for my Monstera:
- Potting Soil (30%)
- Orchid Bark (30%)
- Perlite (30%)
- Charcoal (5%)
- Worm Castings (5%)
Water thoroughly when watering to mimic tropical jungle conditions. It is best practice to keep the soil humid but never soggy.
