Philodendron ‘Bob Cee’
At first… it looks fairly standard.
Long leaves. Slightly lobed. Nothing too dramatic.
Then it grows.
And those leaves start stretching… splitting… developing these deep, finger-like cuts that don’t feel neat or controlled.
They feel wild.
Like the plant’s just decided to evolve mid-growth and no one told it to stop.
Why this one hits
There are loads of philodendrons with splits.
But this one does it differently.
Not clean fenestrations like a Monstera.
Not soft lobes like a xanadu.
These are elongated, jagged, finger-like divisions that give the whole plant a slightly untamed, almost reptilian look
It doesn’t look curated.
It looks like it’s trying to escape the pot.
What you’re actually dealing with
This is a large-growing hybrid philodendron of unknown parentage… which honestly adds to the appeal
Because it behaves like a proper climber:
It wants height
It wants support
It wants to mature
And when it does…
It can get big. Really big.
We’re talking leaves pushing serious size and structure if you let it climb and settle in.
Care (keep it simple… but don’t hold it back)
Light wants to be bright and indirect.
More light = stronger growth and more dramatic leaf shape.
Watering is standard aroid rhythm:
Let the top layer dry out… then water properly.
And give it something to climb.
This is where most people miss the point.
If you let it trail… it looks average.
If you let it climb… it becomes something else entirely.
The honest bit
This plant is underrated.
Mostly because people see it young… and don’t get it.
But mature?
It’s a completely different plant.
This is one of those you grow into… not one you buy finished.

Philodendron Bob Cee is a rare climbing hybrid philodendron with elongated leaves and deep finger-like lobes. It thrives in bright indirect light with well-draining soil and climbing support, making it ideal for indoor plant collectors.
Philodendron 'Bob Cee' - 9cm/15-20cm
The following aroid mix I would like to share with you is working well for my Philodendron:
- Potting Soil (30%)
- Orchid Bark (30%)
- Perlite (30%)
- Charcoal (5%)
- Worm Castings (5%)
Water thoroughly when watering to mimic tropical jungle conditions. It is best practice to keep the soil humid but never soggy.
