Philodendron ‘Kitina’ is what happens when tropical genetics completely lose their mind in the best possible way.

This is not a “nice little houseplant.”

This is a full blown statement piece.

A savage climbing hybrid with deeply sculpted foliage that looks like it evolved somewhere ancient, humid and slightly dangerous.

Whilst often compared to Philodendron Florida Beauty × mayoi hybrids due to similarities in leaf structure and overall appearance, ‘Kitina’ has developed its own identity amongst collectors thanks to its sharper architecture, exaggerated lobing and uniquely elegant mature form.

The plant is believed to originate from complex hybrid breeding linked to rare Philodendron development around 2021, where selected forms quickly became highly sought after amongst serious aroid collectors worldwide.

Its genetics combine traits associated with:
• Dramatic climbing growth
• Deeply fingered tropical foliage
• Intense mature leaf transformation
• And the wild prehistoric aesthetic collectors become obsessed with

The result?

A plant that genuinely looks half houseplant, half rainforest creature.

As it matures, the foliage becomes larger, more aggressive and more deeply sculpted with every new leaf feeling like another evolutionary upgrade.

Attach it to a moss pole properly and it starts producing enormous mature foliage that makes ordinary houseplants look slightly underqualified.

Despite its rare and exotic appearance, Philodendron ‘Kitina’ is actually surprisingly straightforward to care for if you understand climbing aroids.

Give it:
• Bright indirect light
• A chunky airy soil mix
• Warmth and moderate humidity
• Something to climb
• And avoid overwatering

The reward is one of the most dramatic tropical plants you can grow indoors.

This is not a background plant.

This is the plant people point at when they walk into your house.
