Begonia amphioxus x malachosticta - 8cm pot / 17cm
Begonia amphioxus x malachosticta looks as though someone put a tropical leaf in a polka-dot shirt. An excellent decision, frankly.
This foliage begonia hybrid brings pointed, uneven leaves and reddish spots together in a very distracting little package. It gives you detail at close range rather than demanding half the living room. Put it somewhere you can actually see it, because hiding those markings behind a giant Monstera would be a crime against your own plant collection.
I would grow this in a warm, humid spot with soft light and gentle airflow. A well-managed cabinet can suit it, but a sealed, dripping box is another matter entirely. Keep the roots comfortably moist and let the leaves do the showing off.
