WAYS TO USE YOUR SPHAGNUM MOSS
Moss poles: Fill or wrap a moss pole to create a moisture-retentive surface for climbing houseplants such as Monstera and Philodendron. Keep the moss evenly damp to encourage aerial roots to explore it.
Terrariums: Add to suitable humid terrarium setups for natural texture and moisture retention. Give living moss adequate light and avoid letting it dry out.
Propagation: Use lightly damp sphagnum around suitable cuttings or nodes, or for air layering. Pack it loosely so air can reach developing roots, and avoid leaving cuttings sitting in water.
Soil and substrate mixes: Blend small amounts into a suitable potting mix when your plant needs extra moisture retention. Adjust the amount to the plant and your growing conditions; moisture-loving plants and drought-tolerant plants have different needs.
