DON’T BUY SOIL. MAKE IT.
Soil Yourself is a premium, compost-free dry substrate blend made from high-quality ingredients — no cheap compost added to bulk out the bag. You get a full 1.15kg of the good stuff, ready to customise for your plant and your conditions.
WHAT’S IN THE BAG
Pine bark, sphagnum moss, perlite, vermiculite, worm castings, horticultural grit, LECA, mycorrhizal fungi and seaweed.
HOW TO MIX IT
Start with 200g compost and adjust gradually depending on your plant and how moisture-retentive you want the finished mix.
• 200g – seriously chunky; a great starting point for many Anthuriums and other chunk lovers.
• 500g – chunky all-rounder; a happy medium for most houseplants.
• Up to 1kg – more moisture retention; great for many Monstera, Philodendron and Syngonium.
Maximum 1kg compost. Don’t exceed it.
THE SCRUNCH TEST
Grab a handful, squeeze it, then open your hand. If it falls apart, you’re golden. If it stays together, the mix is too dense — add more Soil Yourself and test again.
KEEP IT FRESH
Top dress with a large handful of worm castings every 6–8 months.
NET WEIGHT: 1.15kg
Store in a cool, dry place and keep sealed. For horticultural use only. Avoid breathing dust. Wash hands after use. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
