Anthurium luxurians x radicans - 12cm pot / 25cm
Anthurium luxurians x radicans has leaves that look as though somebody has upholstered them. Deeply unnecessary. Absolutely glorious.
The defining feature is the heavily puckered, glossy foliage, with raised areas between the veins catching the light. It adds texture to a collection even without variegation or bright colours. This plant comes in a 12cm nursery pot, making a lovely focal point on a warm shelf where you can get close enough to appreciate the surface.
I would grow it in bright, indirect light with an airy root mix, steady moisture and decent humidity. Let excess water escape and avoid a cold, wet pot. New foliage can look different in colour and texture before it hardens. Give it room to open without brushing against every neighbouring leaf.
