Rhaphidophora elliptica 'Variegata' - 12cm pot / 20cm
Rhaphidophora elliptica 'Variegata' is for the person who says they have enough climbing aroids, then immediately makes an exception. Hello again.
The attraction here is the elongated foliage, with irregular pale and yellow-green areas breaking up the deeper green. It is a quieter shape than a heavily split Monstera, but there is plenty going on when you look closely. This 12cm-pot plant gives you a compact starting point for a climbing display.
I would offer support as it grows and give it bright, filtered light so the green parts can do their job. An airy aroid mix and careful watering matter more than endlessly rearranging it. Variegation is individual, and neither half-moon leaves nor a particular colour balance are guaranteed.
