Ficus ‘Snowstorm’ is a beautifully variegated cultivar that lives up to its name. Its leaves are splashed and marbled in crisp white and soft green, creating the effect of a snow flurry scattered across the foliage. The variegation is bold and unpredictable, with every leaf carrying its own unique pattern — no two ever the same.
This compact, bushy ficus is perfect as a bright feature plant, whether styled on its own or as part of a bigger display. In good light, the contrast between the creamy whites and rich greens becomes even more dramatic, making it a striking centrepiece in any indoor jungle.
As with most ficus, it prefers bright, indirect light and steady conditions — avoid sudden changes in temperature or drafts. Keep the soil lightly moist but not soggy, and allow the top layer to dry before watering again. A chunky, well-draining mix will keep the roots healthy and help support steady growth.
If you’re looking for something elegant, eye-catching, and a little bit different from the classic green ficus, Ficus ‘Snowstorm’ is an excellent choice. Easy to care for, highly decorative, and guaranteed to add a fresh, snowy highlight to your collection all year round.
Ficus 'Snowstorm' - 9cm/20cm
The following aroid mix I would like to share with you is working well for my Ficus:
- Potting Soil (30%)
- Orchid Bark (30%)
- Perlite (30%)
- Charcoal (5%)
- Worm Castings (5%)
Water thoroughly when watering to mimic tropical jungle conditions. It is best practice to keep the soil humid but never soggy.
