Hoya lacunosa sp Laos
Hoya lacunosa is a delicate trailing Hoya species known for its clusters of tiny fragrant flowers and textured foliage. The Laos form originates from tropical Southeast Asia where Hoyas grow as epiphytes attached to trees.
Rather than growing in soil, many Hoyas naturally anchor themselves to bark while absorbing moisture from humid air and rainfall.
The small star-shaped flowers of Hoya lacunosa are highly fragrant and often produce a sweet perfume in the evening.
Interesting fact: Many Hoya species bloom repeatedly from the same flower spur, so it is important never to cut the old flower stems.
Care tips
Bright indirect light encourages flowering.
Allow soil to dry slightly between watering.
Use a very airy substrate with bark and perlite.

The following aroid mix I would like to share with you is working well for my Hoya:
- Potting Soil (30%)

- Perlite (30%)
- Charcoal (5%)
- Worm Castings (5%)
Water thoroughly when watering to mimic tropical jungle conditions. It is best practice to keep the soil humid but never soggy.
