Rhaphidophora puberula ‘Variegata’ is a beautiful variegated climbing plant with marbled foliage and strong vertical growth.
Native to Southeast Asian rainforests, this species naturally climbs trees and produces aerial roots that help it attach to bark surfaces.
The variegated form produces unpredictable patterns of cream and green across the leaves, making each plant unique.
As with many climbing aroids, providing vertical support allows the plant to produce larger leaves as it matures.
Care tips
Bright indirect light.
Climbing support encourages larger foliage.
Keep soil lightly moist but well drained.
Rhaphidophora puberula 'Variegata' - 12cm/35cm
The following aroid mix I would like to share with you is working well for my Philodendron:
- Potting Soil (30%)
- Orchid Bark (30%)
- Perlite (30%)
- Charcoal (5%)
- Worm Castings (5%)
Water thoroughly when watering to mimic tropical jungle conditions. It is best practice to keep the soil humid but never soggy.
