Alocasia 'Jacklyn' - 6cm pot / 15cm+
Alocasia 'Jacklyn' looks as though someone took a perfectly sensible leaf and got carried away with the scissors. The deeply cut outline, strong veins and textured green surface give even a little plant a wonderfully wild character.
Often sold botanically as Alocasia tandurusa, this is one to grow for the changing shape as much as the colour. Young foliage is the opening act; established plants can develop much more dramatic leaves. Give yours warm, bright conditions and watch it develop at its own pace. No pulling at a new leaf to help it along. It has managed this business without our fingers for quite some time.
One live plant in a 6cm nursery pot. Minimum height 15cm, including the pot. Listed heights are minimums; your plant will usually be taller. Leaf count, colour and markings vary naturally. Decorative pot not included. This is a young plant; mature leaf shape and size develop with time and growing conditions.
Pet friendly: No — best kept away from pets that chew plants.
