Bright, indirect light, stable indoor warmth and a pot with drainage. Use an airy mix and let the upper layer begin drying before watering thoroughly; drain away the excess. Offer support for climbing growth and keep delicate new leaves clear of harsh sun and dry radiator heat. Feed at the label rate while actively growing, reducing water as the pot dries more slowly.

Keep the small root ball lightly moist while allowing air around the roots. Let fresh leaves firm up before assessing their final colour.

My house can dip to around 8°C in winter, and my established plants have coped well. That is my growing experience, not a guaranteed minimum for every plant. Give young plants and fresh arrivals a gentler start, and keep them away from cold draughts and cold, wet compost.
