Alocasia lauterbachiana 'Variegata' - 12cm pot / 25cm+
Alocasia lauterbachiana 'Variegata' takes the long, rippled leaves of the purple sword Alocasia and sends pale colour running through them. The upright shape is wonderfully different beside rounder jungle foliage; there is movement here before a new leaf has even opened.
The pleasure is in how those narrow blades develop and how the markings change between leaves. This is a growing plant, not a fixed pattern printed on plastic. Give it room, bright filtered light and a warm root zone, and let it build that vertical shape. Keep an eye on the compost as growth speeds up: more leaf means more demand on the roots.
One live plant in a 12cm nursery pot. Minimum height 25cm, including the pot. Listed heights are minimums; your plant will usually be taller. Leaf count, colour and markings vary naturally. Decorative pot not included.
Pet friendly: No — best kept away from pets that chew plants.
