Alocasia 'Silver Dragon' - 12cm pot / 25cm+
Alocasia 'Silver Dragon' has managed to make a leaf look cast in metal. Cool silver-green panels sit between dark veins, with a thick, puckered surface that deserves to be seen close up. It is beautifully odd, and completely alive.
New leaves can look softer and greener before developing their mature finish. That change is part of the appeal: you get to watch the leaf become itself. Give it bright filtered light, warmth and a root mix that holds some moisture while letting air through. Roots need oxygen too. A pot of wet cement is a fairly poor substitute for a jungle floor.
One live plant in a 12cm nursery pot. Minimum height 25cm, including the pot. Listed heights are minimums; your plant will usually be taller. Leaf count, colour and markings vary naturally. Decorative pot not included.
