🌿 Ficus elastica ‘Shivereana’ – The Ghostly Rubber Plant 👻✨
If a plant could be mysterious and elegant at the same time, it would be Ficus elastica ‘Shivereana’. This rare and highly sought-after rubber plant is nothing like its deep green cousins—it sports ethereal, pale green leaves speckled with flecks of darker green, giving it an almost ghostly, marbled effect. Some leaves even develop soft peach or pink undertones, making it one of the most unique members of the Ficus family. A rare beauty that turns heads without even trying!
Why You’ll Love It:
✅ Soft, Speckled Variegation – Each leaf looks like it’s been painted by nature itself.
✅ Easy to Care For – Thrives with minimal attention and tolerates lower light better than most Ficus varieties.
✅ Air-Purifying Powerhouse – Helps clean indoor air while looking effortlessly cool.
Caring for Your ‘Shivereana’:
🌞 Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can adapt to lower light conditions. Avoid harsh direct sun, as it can scorch the delicate variegation.
💧 Watering: Let the top 2 inches of soil dry out before watering. Overwatering is its biggest enemy!
🌿 Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity but will tolerate typical indoor levels just fine.
🌱 Growth: A moderate grower that can reach impressive heights with time—perfect for adding a statement piece to your space.
✂️ Pruning: Trim any leggy growth to maintain a bushy shape and encourage new leaves.
A rare and exotic twist on the classic rubber plant, the Ficus elastica ‘Shivereana’ is for plant lovers who appreciate subtle, artistic beauty. Whether you’re an experienced collector or just want an easy-care stunner, this ghostly green marvel is a must-have for any indoor jungle. 🌿👻✨

The following aroid mix I would like to share with you is working well for my Ficus:
- Potting Soil (30%)
- Orchid Bark (30%)
- Perlite (30%)

- Worm Castings (5%)
Water thoroughly when watering to mimic tropical jungle conditions. It is best practice to keep the soil humid but never soggy.

Reviews
My new plantling ( now named Francis) arrived today, clearly packaged with love and care. The plant is in great condition and lots of new growth to nurture and enjoy watching grow.
Thank you.
The colours on this is incredible still going strong
I love my new addition to my very mini jungle. I received a strong, healthy plant that has great colouring and shape. I’ve put it near my other ficus, which is bigly yuge, so I hope it’ll appreciate the position and be shamed in to growing just that little bit faster. This photo opportunity does represent its final position.
