The Geogenanthus ciliatus ‘Aura Flame’ is a rare rainforest gem that looks like fire caught in leaf form. Native to the shaded jungle floors of Ecuador and Peru, this beauty thrives in low to medium light and rewards you with foliage that glows in shades of pink, yellow, purple and deep green. Every leaf is slightly different, so the plant feels like a living artwork that constantly shifts and changes with age and light levels.
Unlike many variegated plants, the leaves of ‘Aura Flame’ are bold, waxy and sturdy, with glossy topsides and darker undersides that make the colours pop even more. It’s compact in size, which makes it perfect for terrariums, plant cabinets or as a statement piece in a shadier corner of your indoor jungle.
This variety loves warmth, moisture and humidity — just like the rainforest. Keep the soil evenly damp (but not soggy), avoid letting it dry out completely, and it will stay lush. A rich, airy soil mix and a little extra humidity will help it truly shine.
If you’re looking for something truly unusual, Geogenanthus ciliatus ‘Aura Flame’ is a showstopper that will stand out in any collection. Rare, colourful, and undeniably dramatic — this is a plant that turns heads.

The following aroid mix I would like to share with you is working well for my Alocasia:
- Potting Soil (50%)
- Orchid Bark (10%)
- Perlite (30%)
- Charcoal (5%)
- Worm Castings (5%)
Water thoroughly when watering to mimic tropical jungle conditions. It is best practice to keep the soil humid but never soggy.
