Philodendron ‘Fresh Aurea’ is clarity in colour.

This yellow variegated Philodendron carries clean, luminous tones of lemon and chartreuse across rich green foliage. Unlike muddier aurea forms, ‘Fresh Aurea’ is known for brighter, sharper contrast. The yellow reads crisp rather than faded, especially under strong light.

Each new leaf emerges slightly softer in tone, then intensifies as it hardens. Some leaves display fine marbling. Others break into defined sectors of gold against green. The unpredictability keeps it interesting. The brightness keeps it premium.

Collectors value Philodendron ‘Fresh Aurea’ because:

• The yellow variegation is vivid and well defined

• Growth is stronger than many heavily white forms

• It remains uncommon in the UK market

• It offers bold colour without excessive fragility

This is typically a climbing Philodendron. With support, leaves increase in size and structure. Without it, the plant will still grow, but you will not see its full potential.

Light should be bright and indirect. Adequate light keeps the yellow saturated and reduces green reversion. Too little light will encourage darker growth as the plant compensates.

Water thoroughly when the top portion of the soil begins to dry. A chunky, breathable aroid mix with bark and perlite or pumice ensures roots remain oxygenated. Overwatering dulls growth and risks rot.

Humidity supports larger leaves and cleaner colour expression, though it adapts well to stable UK indoor conditions.

Growth rate is moderate. Faster than high white variegated forms, slower than fully green Philodendron.
